AAR-H TYPE COUPLER
Over the past 60 years, Escorts Kubota has been a supplier of advanced coupler systems to Indian Railways for high-speed trains, metros, and EMUs. We also supply high-capacity couplers for locomotives which include GM / EMD Locos and ALCO Locos.
We are one of the largest suppliers of couplers, with 50%+ market share for AAR-H type couplers and about 50% market share for Schaku couplers in Indian market.
SALIENT FEATURES

Escorts made Loco couplers have been designed with single pin clevis which provides compatibility with both Centre Buffer Couplers and Hook type Couplers. They are designed for a tensile load capacity of up to 400 tons. Hence capable of hauling a rake of 26 coaches.
Semi permanent - EMU's/MEMU's
Provides safe and permanent connection of multiple units. Connection between the couplers is ensured by Adjustable Cup Sleeves, with screw type arrangement.

Centre buffer coupler - Vande Bharat
This is a jerk - free high tensile center buffer coupler (CBC) with a semi-permanent head and balanced type draft gear. Coupler design also meets the interchangeability requirement from semi-permanent type head to AAR-H type head to facilitate coupling with E or H type couplers. The coupler is ideal for high speed trains above 160 kmph, such as Vande Bharat.

Semi Automatic – Metros
- The coupling has a generous gathering range because of conical /funnel shaped profile of body and guiding horn on the coupler face. The Coupler head confirms to Type-10 design Horizontal gathering range Up to ±284 mm and Vertical gathering range Up to ±75 mm
- A rigid connection is formed both vertically and horizontally by the coupler faces and locking system
- The draw gear arrangement serves to cushion the tensile and compressive loads produced under operation and to absorb the impact forces which are generated by train dynamics
- Provides the automatic pneumatic connection for BP&MR lines
